Study on regional methodological centre development potential in Ventspils city

| PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Local government institution – Education Board of Ventspils City Council involved Dynamic University Ltd., with the aim of developing a “Study on regional methodological centre development potential in Ventspils city” (hereinafter – Study). The main objective of the Study was to assess the performance and capacity of the current methodical support for educators, as well as develop scenarios for further advancement of the service. The Study was carried out during the period from 6th October 2016 to 14th December 2016. PROJECT SOLUTIONS AND RESULTS Within the framework of the Study, an in-depth analysis of the current situation was carried out by collecting and analysing the data about the previous methodological support measures and their results. |
Workshops and surveys were conducted in order to explore the views of the heads of methodological work departments in Ventspils educational institutions. Moreover, the Study also included SWOT analysis and resource analysis of the methodological support systems for educators in Ventspils. Based on the information collected during the Study three possible scenarios were created for the development of methodological services in the city of Ventspils. Each development scenario was evaluated and compared after defined criteria, including, analysis basing on the flow of educators. Therefore, identifying the potential of the target audience and the suitability of the scenario. |
