As a result of a procurement Rīgas Stradiņš University (hereinafter – RSU) contracted Dynamic University Ltd, with the aim to develop “Rīgas Stradiņš University development strategy 2017 – 2021” (hereinafter – Strategy).

PROJECT SOLUTIONS AND RESULT

The main task was to provide support and consultancy for the Strategy development in accordance with the requirements and assessment methodology issued by the Ministry of education and science (hereinafter – MoES) for higher education institutions in Latvia.

The task was carried out between October and December 2016 and included:

• Collection of information about education programs, human resources, internationalisation, cooperation, management, infrastructure, financial and other resources in the areas of development, while preparing and editing the already prepared data matrix for the RSU departments;
• Assessment of the RSU current situation – performance and potential evaluation, within the context of industry guidelines and other planning documents;
• SWOT analysis;
• Development of the RSU strategic map – vision, mission, priorities, core/strategic objectives and horizontal development objectives, thematic areas, the main contributing factors and values;
• Development of the key performance indicators.

As the result “Rīgas Stradiņš University development strategy 2017 – 2021” was developed according to the needs of RSU and requirements of MoES.
