Benchmarking of Latvia University Faculty of Economics and Management study programmes „Economics” and „Management Science”




 

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

With the aim to promote the development, quality assurance and international competitiveness of the University of Latvia, Faculty of Economics and Management study programmes, in spring 2015 Dynamic University initiated the benchmarking of bachelor, master and doctoral level study programmes “Economics” and “Management Science” with the leading European university study programmes, using internationally comparative university rankings data.

PROJECT SOLUTION AND RESULT 

As the result of the undertaken feasibility study, research and analysis, Dynamic University completed the benchmarking of the University of Latvia, Faculty of Economics and Management study programmes “Economics” and “Management Science” with the leading European university study programmes, providing an overview of the developed methodology, executed activities and analysis results.

 

During the project the following activities were executed:

  • completed needs analysis and methodology matrix for the execution of the analysis;
  • identified the most compliant internationally comparative university rankings (QS World University un Times Higher Education) and most suitable leading European universities, for instance, Leeds University, Maastricht University, Pompeu Fabra University, London School of Economics and Political Science, for the purposes of benchmarking the study programmes, using the most recent international rankings data;
  • developed visual material for the overview provision of study programme content, including programme aims, objectives, study results, study plan, course content and format, as well as other comparative aspects;
  • provided outcomes estimation and recommendations.
