Science: It's a girl thing!
It aims to challenge stereotypes around science and show girls that science can be a great opportunity for their future. The campaign will also underline the importance of science and research in finding concrete solutions to world problems, such as food and energy security, environment, healthy ageing among others.
The launch event , which takes place at the European Parliament in Brussels tomorrow, on the 21st June, will include a conference at 14.30 with Commission Geoghegan-Quinn, pupils and inspirational role models. Activities will include workshops, the shooting of a flashmob video clip and meetings with young scientists who will share their passion for science with students and answer their questions.
